Account & data deletion
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open DreamBuddy and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom and confirm.
- For your security, you'll be asked to sign in again if you haven't recently.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you can't access the app
Email inforuyam@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account with the subject "Account deletion request". Once we confirm the account is yours, we delete your account and data within 30 days and let you know.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account (email, Google or Apple link)
- Your profile (name, gender, date of birth, language)
- All your dreams, interpretations and the questions you asked your readers
- Your stardust balance and stardust history
- Your notification tokens and device records
- Your customer record at our purchase verification provider (RevenueCat)
- If you signed in with Apple, your Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked; if you signed in with Google, the app's access to your Google account is removed
What may be kept
- A one-way device digest, not linked to your account, kept indefinitely so the welcome stardust can't be claimed repeatedly on the same device.
- Transaction IDs that stop purchases and ad rewards from being processed twice.
- Purchase records at Google Play and the App Store, and Google Analytics statistics, under those services' own retention periods (up to 14 months for Analytics).
- Information we are legally required to keep, for the required period.
Have a subscription? Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel in Google Play or the App Store first (how?).
Delete some data without deleting your account
- A single dream: switch to the List view in your Dream map, then swipe its card left or long-press it. You can also open the dream and tap the trash icon in the top right.
- A single interpretation: use ⋯ > Delete dream on the interpretation screen.
- Profile details: on the Profile tab, tap the pencil icon next to your name (Edit profile).
- Anything else: email inforuyam@gmail.com.
